Amortization Periods on your Personal Loan or Personal Line of Credit.

First Again, we belive that there should always be some type of amortization period on all lines or loans by law so that you the consumer doesn’t get buried in debt. We're ourselves are stumped at how they ever passed the interest only home loan laws, as we have all seen the havoc created by the subprime mess and some of that had to do with those interest only loans. But never the less, there are amortization periods on your personal loans and personal lines of credit and they are normally up to 7 years.

Keep in mind that most do not have a prepayment penalty, so if you would like to pay them off early, you can without fear of penalty. We do have a large database of unsecured lenders and each has it's own set of rules regarding such items and they have disclosure addressing them, so even if you are approved for a loan, you should always read the fine print to make sure there is no prepayment penalty - as we do not set the rulse for the lenders, they set their own rules. You will have time to read the disclosures before you actually sign any loan doc accepting thier loan or line offers. Thus, please understand that even though you may get an approval by a lender, until you accept their offer, it is still not a loan or a line, it just an offer - please read the fine print prior to accepting their offers.
